A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ann Argodale received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Tulsa, and a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL). Following her formal education, Ms. Argodale served a carpentry apprenticeship with general contractor Ready House, Inc., of Park City, IL, reaching the level of journeyman carpenter. Additionally, she completed Mathematics studies at Thomas Nelson Community College (Hampton, VA) and teacher education at the University of Memphis. Ms. Argodale served as a musician in the U.S. Navy and worked for several years for the Virginia Symphony Orchestra (Norfolk, VA). Between musical positions, she has held employment as a residential and commercial journeyman carpenter in Illinois, Virginia, and Tennessee. Her previous teaching posts include Director of Orchestral Studies (adjunct professor) at Christopher Newport University (Newport News, VA), Career and Technical Education teacher at Manassas High School, and Mathematics instructor at Havenview Middle School in Memphis. Ms. Argodale resides in Memphis and enjoys performing with the Memphis Jazz Orchestra and freelancing as a trombonist, composer, arranger, and builder.
